I have a somewhat morbid short story for you all as the first update of the year. A tale of a sailor visiting an unknown city, where death does not seem to follow the same rules as he is used to, and some have more options then others.

This is part one of a short suspense horror novel. Each part will be presented in a different form of medium, from notes to emails and newspaper clippings. These texts are meant to be read as pieces of a large puzzle. And only when you have the entire set will everything make sense. Note that this is also a quite big experiment for me as a writer, so it will be a bit rougher around the edges than my other writings. The third short story focuses on a navigator of a civilian ship in wartime, and the costs of duty and empathy. Like my other short stories, this one follows a nameless protagonist, and explores their inner struggles.
